With broken hearts and deep sorrow, we announce that Ryder Houser, age 15, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. Ryder’s passing has left an unfillable space in the hearts of his family, friends, and the entire Bayou Academy community.
Born on August 28, 2009, Ryder lived a life full of light, love, and laughter. He was a beloved son, loyal friend, and dedicated student whose gentle spirit and infectious smile made a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Ryder brought joy into every room he entered, whether through his quiet kindness, quick wit, or the way he looked out for others.
Ryder was a proud student at Bayou Academy, where he was known not only for his academic promise, but for the way he treated others—with humility, empathy, and genuine care. He had a heart for his friends, a love for his family, and a spirit rooted in faith.
Though his time here was far too short, Ryder’s life was full of meaning. He touched countless lives with his grace, and his memory will forever be a source of strength and inspiration to those he leaves behind.
As we honor Ryder’s life, we also pray for comfort and healing for his family and loved ones during this unimaginable time. His light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
