In Memory of Brandon Cabrera, 25

Santa Maria, California, It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Brandon Cabrera, who died tragically on the night of July 4, 2025, following a shooting in Santa Maria. He was 25 years old.

At approximately 11:22 p.m., Santa Maria police responded to reports of gunfire in the 300 block of West Lolita Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found Brandon suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Marian Medical Center, where, despite the best efforts of emergency medical staff, he was pronounced dead.

Brandon was a resident of Santa Maria and a young man whose life was taken far too soon. As family, friends, and the community grieve this senseless loss, the Santa Maria Police Department’s Detective Bureau has launched an active investigation into the incident.

Authorities have not released information regarding potential suspects or motive at this time. Detectives are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in the search for justice.
