Authorities Identify Woman Found Deceased in Beech Island as Delilah M. Quinones

BEECH ISLAND, S.C. — The Aiken County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of a woman found deceased Thursday morning in Beech Island as 39-year-old Delilah M. Quinones.

Quinones’ body was discovered in an advanced state of decomposition in the 200 block of Blackstone Camp Road. Chief Deputy Coroner Eric Ramey stated that authorities were called to the scene around 8:00 a.m. An autopsy is scheduled to be performed in Newberry to determine the exact cause of death. As of now, no additional details have been released pending the autopsy results and notification of next of kin.

A resident of Beech Island, Quinones had previously been reported missing on August 19, 2023. At the time, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office said she was last seen by her roommate in the area of Swamp Road and Koger Loop. She was later located, and no new missing-persons alert was issued prior to this week’s tragic discovery. Quinones was known to frequent the Augusta area, and authorities had previously sought the public’s help in locating her.

The Aiken County Coroner’s Office and Aiken County Sheriff’s Office are conducting a joint investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death. Authorities urge anyone with information related to the case to come forward and contact the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office.
