Arkansas Mourns the Loss of a Beloved Coach, Father, and Frien

Charleston, Arkansas,  With broken hearts and profound sadness, the community of Charleston, Arkansas is mourning the tragic loss of Brad Jones, who passed away unexpectedly on July 10, 2025.

Brad was truly one of a kind—a pillar of strength, kindness, and unwavering loyalty. He was more than just a man; he was a mentor, a coach, a protector, and a friend to so many. Known throughout the community for his dedication to local youth, Brad coached hundreds of kids in Charleston, always showing up with encouragement, compassion, and a deep belief in each child’s potential—even when they couldn’t see it in themselves.

Beyond his role in the community, Brad was a devoted husband, the best dad to his four children, and a doting “Poppy” to his granddaughter Vivienne, with another precious granddaughter on the way. His love for his family was limitless and unconditional. Those who knew Brad speak of his fierce loyalty, gentle heart, and the way he made everyone feel seen, heard, and valued.

As the Jones family navigates this unimaginable grief, many in the community have asked how to help. In response, a donation account has been set up at Simmons Bank in Charleston to support the family during this difficult time. The account is listed under “Jones Family Fund” in the name of Sherry Jones, with the last four digits of the account being 5839.
