David Alley was born December 7, 1967, and departed this life Thursday, July 11, 2025, reaching the age of 57 years. He was the son of the late Prentice and Estell (Bell) Alley.
He is survived by: his wife, Kelly Alley; one daughter, Lacey Brown (Terry); one son, Prentis Alley (Kelsey); five grandchildren, Ariana and Alianne Brown, Hensley Rae, Coy, and Case Alley. He is also survived by: one sister, Connie White; and one brother, Michael Alley; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, Prentice and Estell Alley, he was preceded in death by: his siblings, Carrie Frost, Tommy Alley, Stephen Alley, and Twyla Godsey.
David owned and operated several businesses in the Wayne County area. His latest adventure was farming with his son. He was a great mechanic and loved participating in the Derby.
He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a doting poppy, a dear brother, and a wonderful friend to many in his community and throughout Wayne County. David will certainly be missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, between 10 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the David Alley Family Cemetery, 474 Hwy. 674, Monticello, KY 42633.
