In Loving Memory of Dale and Paula Shulfer

It is with profound sorrow that we share the unexpected passing of Dale and Paula Shulfer, beloved husband and wife, who tragically lost their lives on Monday, July 7, 2025. Dale was 53 and Paula was 52. Their sudden departure has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who knew and loved them, yet their lives remain a lasting testament to the power of love, dedication, and kindness.

Dale was born on August 24, 1971, the son of the late Leroy and Grace (Kaminski) Shulfer. Paula was born on July 13, 1972, to Edward Jr. and Sandy (Loecher) Karch. The two were united in marriage on August 23, 2002, beginning a journey of partnership rooted in love, hard work, and shared values.

Together, Dale and Paula spent many years farming, a reflection of their deep respect for the land and community. Paula also dedicated much of her life to Worzalla Publishing, and later brought compassion and care to her role at St. Michael’s Hospital in the call center.

They will be remembered for their incredible work ethic, generous hearts, unwavering devotion to their family, and their joy in the simple pleasures of life. Whether it was deer hunting, snowmobiling, attending church picnics, or simply spending time outdoors, Dale and Paula embraced life together fully and faithfully.

Their deep bond was evident to all who knew them — a couple whose love inspired those around them. They leave behind their cherished son, Bryan Shulfer, and beloved grandchildren, Ellie and Gunner, who will carry their memory forward with strength and love. Dale is also survived by his brothers Patrick Shulfer, David Shulfer, and John Shulfer.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church – Fancher. Visitation will take place on Monday, July 14, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst, with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM. Additional visitation will be held Tuesday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass at the church.

Though their time on earth was cut far too short, Dale and Paula’s legacy of love, faith, and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know them. May they rest together in eternal peace.
