Chandler Preston “Channy P” Obituary

Chandler Elizabeth Preston
, lovingly known by many as “Channy P”, passed away on July 11, 2025, at the age of 22. Born and raised in Minford, Ohio. Chandler lived her life with fierce loyalty, a selfless heart, spontaneous spirit, and a bit of beautiful chaos that made her unforgettable to anyone that knew her.

A 2021 graduate of Minford High School, chandler went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Shawnee State University in May of 2025.

You could always find her farming with Don, vacationing with Julie (she loved pestering her parents by calling them by their first name). “Hammocking” with friends all summer long, backroading, and spending time with her friends. She loved loud laughs, late nights, and the kind of fun that came with being surrounded by the ones she loved most. Her energy lit up every room – and sometimes set it on fire in the best way.

She is survived by her loving parents, Don and Julie Preston of Minford; her brother, Chase Preston of Flemingsburg, Kentucky; her sister, Shellby (Rodney) Vulgamore of Minford; her niece, Brylynn Jones; grandmothers, Sarah Preston of Minford, and Libby Davis of New Boston, and her great uncle Chuck Clark of Minford. Chandler is also survived by a close-knit and extensive family including uncle Jim (Linda) Preston of Ironton, aunt, Linda (Joe) Burnside of Wheelersburg, uncle Joe (Crystal) Preston of Minford, aunt Cheryl (Dan) Bolender of Florida, uncle Chris (Michelle) Davis of New Boston, aunt Cindy (Kelly) Brown of Portsmouth, and many cousins – some of whom were more like siblings.

Chandler was preceded in death by her grandfathers, James Robert Preston and Robert Randall Davis.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the “Channy P” Scholarship Fund at Atomic Credit Union in honor of Chandler’s legacy.
