Milwaukee Police Arrest Three in Connection to Abduction of 7-Year-Old Boy

MILWAUKEE, WI — Three men have been arrested by Milwaukee police in connection with the abduction of 7-year-old Jamal White, who was taken at gunpoint by a masked man on Friday, July 11. According to police arrest logs released Sunday, June 13, the arrests were made at addresses directly linked to both the location of Jamal’s abduction and his recovery.

Thankfully, Jamal was found safe on Saturday evening, nearly 24 hours after he was reported missing. His abduction had sparked intense concern and community efforts to assist in locating him.

Corey Williams, 25, was arrested at the 2000 block of N. 39th Street, where Jamal was ultimately found. Williams was taken into custody at 5:45 p.m. on July 12 and is being held on a probation violation.

In addition, police arrested two 27-year-old men at the home on West Hustis Street—the location where Jamal was abducted. One of the individuals is being held on tentative charges of resisting and obstructing an officer, while the other faces a tentative charge of second-degree recklessly endangering safety. It remains unclear whether these charges are directly connected to the abduction itself.

At this time, the Milwaukee Police Department has not released further details about the investigation, or confirmed if any of those arrested were directly involved in planning or carrying out Jamal’s abduction. Authorities did confirm that Jamal White himself has been booked in Milwaukee County, with charges listed as pending, but additional context has not yet been provided.

The terrifying incident began when Jamal was abducted outside his home on the 6200 block of West Hustis Street on the city’s northwest side. Witnesses reported that a masked man in a black face covering forced Jamal into a white Jeep Renegade before fleeing the scene. The child was located approximately six and a half miles away, near 39th and Lloyd, on Saturday, July 12, around 6:30 p.m..

In a brief statement, the Milwaukee Police Department announced:

“Jamal has been located and is safe. The Milwaukee Police Department would like to thank everyone for their assistance in this matter.”

As the community breathes a collective sigh of relief, questions remain surrounding the motive and connections between the suspects. The investigation is ongoing, and more information is expected in the coming days.

Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact the Milwaukee Police Department.
