SELMA, AL — Heartbreaking news this afternoon out of Hale County, as authorities confirm that a Greensboro woman, Leslie M. Richardson, age 36, has tragically lost her life in a single-vehicle crash that occurred early Monday morning, July 14, 2025.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the crash occurred at approximately 6:15 a.m. on Hale County 51, near Starling Road, roughly 15 miles north of Greensboro.
Richardson was driving a 2002 Toyota Camry when the vehicle left the roadway for unknown reasons and struck a tree. Authorities report that she was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
This tragic incident has sent ripples of grief through the Greensboro community, as loved ones and neighbors begin to process the sudden and devastating loss of a young woman whose life ended far too soon.
As shared by Corporal Reginal M. King, Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division are currently investigating the circumstances of the crash. No further details are available at this time.
