HUNTINGTON, WV – The Huntington Police Department continues its investigation into a fatal shooting that occurred over the weekend in the 1100 block of 4th Avenue. The victim has been identified as Gabriel Zazueta, 20, of Huntington.
Officers responded to the scene following reports of gunfire, where Zazueta was found with fatal injuries. Despite emergency response efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives and forensic investigators are actively working the case, gathering evidence and conducting interviews. At this point in the investigation, authorities believe the incident was isolated, and there is currently no known threat to the general public.
