HENDERSON, Ky— A tragic accident has left the communities of Henderson, Kentucky, and Indianapolis, Indiana, mourning the sudden and devastating loss of two individuals following a fatal head-on collision early Saturday morning.
According to a statement released by the Kentucky State Police (KSP), troopers responded to a horrific crash on Interstate 69 near Slaughters shortly after 4 a.m. Preliminary investigations revealed that 30-year-old Heather Greer of Henderson was traveling southbound when, for reasons still under investigation, her vehicle veered across the median and collided head-on with a northbound vehicle driven by 31-year-old Gregory Lundy of Indianapolis.
Both Greer and Lundy sustained fatal injuries and were tragically pronounced dead at the scene by the Webster County Coroner. The crash, occurring in the early morning hours, sent shockwaves through the local area, leaving friends, family members, and entire communities reeling from the heartbreaking loss.
In addition to the two fatalities, there were two other individuals injured in the catastrophic crash. Authorities identified the passengers as Malechi Baker and Ousmane Hamza.
