Shannon was not only a committed professional—she was a friend, a mentor, and an integral part of our law enforcement family. Her service began with us here in Newton, where she proudly served as a Telecommunicator, and later continued her dedication to public safety with the Sussex County Sheriff’s Office.
Her unwavering compassion, infectious positivity, and relentless zest for life left a mark on everyone she encountered. Whether in a moment of crisis or calm, Shannon brought comfort and reassurance with her steady voice and caring heart. She exemplified the very best of what it means to serve, and her memory will remain deeply rooted in the walls of our department and the hearts of her colleagues.
