PITTSFIELD, MA — The community of Pittsfield is heartbroken as it mourns the tragic and senseless loss of Jordan LaBarre, whose life was taken far too soon in an act of domestic violence. At just 29 years old, Jordan was a radiant presence—compassionate, hardworking, and deeply loyal to those she loved.
Jordan was so much more than a victim—she was a loving daughter, a devoted sister, a fierce and loyal friend, and someone who made others feel seen, safe, and welcome. Her beloved dog, Lincoln, was her constant companion and source of joy. To know Jordan was to know warmth, laughter, and the quiet strength of someone who lived with purpose and heart.
The shock of Jordan’s sudden and violent passing has left her family in immeasurable grief. In the wake of this tragedy, her loved ones have faced not only emotional devastation but also overwhelming logistical challenges—arranging for Jordan’s body to be brought home from across the country, managing delays and unexpected expenses, and trying to navigate these unthinkable days while holding one another through the pain.
In honor of her life and spirit, Friends of Jordan LaBarre, a fund established by her brother, Joshua LaBarre, along with extended family and close friends, aims to support the family during this difficult time. Proceeds will help cover the costs of bringing Jordan home and ensuring she is laid to rest with the dignity and love she deserves. Future funds will also be used to support domestic violence prevention efforts, aid for survivors, and initiatives that honor the lives of women like Jordan—lives stolen by violence, but remembered with love and purpose.
Jordan believed in lifting others up. Through this fund, her memory will be carried forward as a source of compassion, action, and enduring love.
