GLENMONT, N.Y. — The community is mourning the tragic loss of Patrick Lafortune Jr., 32, of Schenectady, who died following a devastating motorcycle crash in Glenmont on Monday evening.
The incident occurred around 5 p.m. on Route 9W near Corning Hill Road, when authorities say a southbound vehicle crossed over the center line and collided head-on with Lafortune’s northbound motorcycle. Emergency responders rushed Lafortune to Albany Medical Center, where, despite medical efforts, he was later pronounced deceased.
