ROANOKE, Va. — Authorities are actively investigating a shooting incident that left two men seriously injured Tuesday evening in Roanoke. According to police, officers were dispatched on July 15, 2025, at approximately 7:43 p.m. to a residence in the 1800 block of Staunton Avenue NW following reports of gunfire inside the home.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a man inside the residence suffering from severe gunshot wound injuries. Emergency medical services quickly transported the victim to a nearby hospital where he is currently receiving treatment. A short time later, a second man arrived separately at a local hospital, also with serious gunshot wounds.
Investigators with the Roanoke Police Department believe that all individuals involved in the incident have been identified. Detectives are continuing to piece together the circumstances that led to the shooting and are working to determine the nature of the incident, including whether it was an altercation between the individuals or if other factors were involved.
