Beloit Man, 70, Dies After Being Struck in Crosswalk

BELOIT, Wis. — A tragic accident has claimed the life of 70-year-old Terrance Robinson, who died Tuesday following injuries sustained when he was struck by an SUV in a Beloit crosswalk.

The incident occurred Monday afternoon just before 4:20 p.m. at the intersection of Prairie Avenue and Inman Parkway, according to the Beloit Police Department. Authorities reported that an SUV, driven by a 43-year-old resident of Janesville, struck Robinson while he was walking in the marked crosswalk area.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and provided aid, but despite efforts, Robinson succumbed to his injuries the following day. The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office formally identified him on Thursday.

Police noted that the driver of the SUV remained at the scene and is cooperating fully with the ongoing investigation. At this time, no charges have been filed, and authorities have not released further details regarding the cause of the collision.
