WESTMINSTER, S.C. — The community of Westminster is mourning the tragic loss of Stanley “Bucky” Osheal, a 61-year-old resident who lost his life in a fatal single-vehicle crash on Friday afternoon, July 18, 2025.
According to the Oconee County Coroner’s Office, the crash occurred at approximately 1:25 p.m. on Doyle Street, just outside of Westminster. Emergency responders arrived on the scene quickly, but sadly, Mr. Osheal was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:55 p.m., succumbing to injuries sustained in the collision.
The coroner’s office has ruled the manner of death accidental. Details regarding the cause of the crash remain under investigation.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is assisting in the ongoing investigation to determine what led to the tragic accident.
Stanley “Bucky” Osheal was known to many in the Westminster community, and news of his sudden passing has left family, friends, and neighbors in shock and grief.
