Maxwell “Max” Logan Russell, 24, of Tacoma, Washington, passed away on July 6, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of courage, compassion, and love. Born in Sellersville, Pennsylvania, Max was the beloved son of Brian Russell and Janice (Myers) Russell.
A 2019 graduate of Quakertown High School, Max exemplified strength and dedication from a young age. He went on to serve his country with pride and honor in the United States Army, as a member of the elite 75th Infantry Regiment—the Army Rangers. His unwavering commitment to service was a reflection of the selfless spirit that defined him.
Max found true peace and joy in nature. Whether he was hiking in the woods, exploring national parks, or pushing himself through outdoor workouts, he felt most at home surrounded by the beauty of the natural world. He had a deep love for history and spent countless hours learning about the past, always eager to expand his understanding of the world.
While Max was proud of his military service and passionate about his interests, nothing meant more to him than his family. He was a devoted husband to Lilianna and a loving father to their daughter, Penelope. His love for his family was immeasurable, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Max’s vibrant spirit, quiet strength, and generous heart will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his wife, daughter, and parents, he is survived by his siblings, Alex, Paige, and Claire; his paternal grandfather, Timothy Russell; his maternal grandmother, Elaine Myers; and a large circle of extended family and friends who will forever hold his memory close.
Max lived with purpose, loved deeply, and gave his all—both in service to his country and in the lives of those he touched. He will be remembered always with admiration, gratitude, and love.
