Todd Michael Nelson Obituary, Death – The Greenville County community is mourning the tragic loss of Todd Michael Nelson, 56, of Simpsonville, who passed away in a fatal motorcycle crash on Saturday evening, July 19, 2025.
According to the Greenville County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the deadly collision occurred around 7:16 p.m. at the intersection of West Georgia Road and Reedy Fork Road. Authorities report that the crash involved a 2006 Honda motorcycle, operated by Nelson, and a 2004 Toyota minivan.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the minivan was traveling south while Nelson was heading north when the two vehicles collided head-on. Despite emergency response efforts, Todd Michael Nelson was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the minivan was not injured.
The coroner has determined that Nelson died as a result of multiple blunt force injuries, and the manner of death has been ruled accidental. An external examination is scheduled for Monday to further aid in the investigation.
Todd will be remembered for his presence in the Simpsonville community and will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew him.
