The Richmond community is mourning the tragic loss of Elwood Robinson Jr., a 40-year-old man who was fatally shot on Mosby Street in the city’s East End late Friday night.
On July 18, at approximately 10:47 p.m., Richmond Police officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 600 block of Mosby Street. Upon arrival, they discovered a man on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim, later identified as Elwood Robinson Jr., a resident of Richmond, was transported to a local hospital. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries.
The Richmond Police Department has stated that the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the official cause and manner of death as the investigation continues.
