It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Robert Wolf Jr., age 53, whose body was discovered in a wooded area behind a Food Lion store on Stanford Road, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
Robert had been reported missing earlier this month, last seen on July 4 at his home on Little Street in Lincolnton. His family, growing increasingly concerned, located his truck parked at the Food Lion — a place he frequented — and immediately alerted authorities. A search was launched by law enforcement on Wednesday, July 16, leading to the discovery of a body tentatively identified as Robert.
Though a positive identification is still pending, the circumstances and location strongly suggest that the deceased is Mr. Wolf. The investigation remains active and is being handled by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, as the body was found outside Lincolnton city limits.
Robert Wolf Jr. was a familiar face in his community, known for his quiet strength, kindness, and warm heart. His disappearance and tragic passing have deeply impacted his family, friends, and neighbors, who now mourn the loss of a man taken too soon.
Funeral arrangements will be announced once identification is confirmed and the family is prepared to share details. In the meantime, the community is asked to keep Robert’s loved ones in their thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
May he rest in peace and be remembered with love.
