The community of Taylorsville is mourning the tragic and untimely passing of Jordan Phillip Daughaday, 38, who lost his life in a motorcycle crash on the evening of Sunday, July 20, 2025, in Hickory, North Carolina.
According to the Hickory Police Department, the crash occurred just after 9 p.m. along North Center Street near 22nd Avenue Northwest. Authorities say a 2016 Nissan Frontier was turning left onto North Center Street when Jordan’s 2016 Harley-Davidson motorcycle collided with the vehicle.
The impact of the crash was devastating, and Jordan Daughaday was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators have cited excessive speed as a contributing factor in the collision. No charges have been filed at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Jordan was a resident of Taylorsville and will be remembered as a spirited individual with a love for motorcycles and the open road. His loss is deeply felt by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
