It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Reese Shavers, age 58, of Perkinston, Mississippi, who tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident on the morning of Monday, July 21, 2025.
The accident occurred around 7:00 a.m. on Cowan-Lorraine Road near Seaway Road in Gulfport, as reported by local authorities. According to Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer, Reese was riding his motorcycle when he was struck by a northbound vehicle. Despite the quick response of emergency personnel, he was pronounced dead at the scene from blunt force trauma.
Reese was a devoted family man, friend, and community member. Those who knew him remember his easygoing nature, strong work ethic, and passion for the open road. He found joy in the freedom of riding and the simple moments of life shared with loved ones.
