Zachary Brooks, a 40-year-old resident of Robesonia, Pennsylvania, tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident on Friday, July 18, 2025, according to the Millcreek Township Police Department.
At approximately 3:59 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Stricklerstown Road and Rod and Gun Road for a reported two-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV. Upon arrival, emergency personnel provided immediate aid to the motorcyclist, who was then transported to Tower Health Reading Hospital for treatment.
The rider was identified as Zachary Brooks. Despite the efforts of first responders and medical staff, Brooks succumbed to his injuries. The Berks County Coroner’s Office later confirmed his passing.
Preliminary reports indicate that the SUV, driven by a 52-year-old from King of Prussia, was traveling eastbound on Stricklerstown Road and attempted to turn left onto Rod and Gun Road. At the same time, Brooks was riding westbound on Stricklerstown Road when his motorcycle struck the passenger side of the SUV. The SUV driver was not injured in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the full sequence of events. Assisting at the scene were multiple emergency services, including the Newmanstown Ambulance Association, Myerstown Ambulance, First Aid and Safety of Lebanon, several regional fire departments, and the Pennsylvania State Police Reconstruction Team.
