East Liverpool, Ohio — The community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 21-year-old Stephanie Householder of West Virginia and her unborn child, who tragically died on Saturday afternoon, July 19, 2025, following a domestic incident near the Broadway Wharf, just across the Ohio River from Chester, West Virginia.
According to the East Liverpool Police Department, Stephanie and the driver of the vehicle — with whom she had arrived — were engaged in an argument at the scene. During the dispute, Stephanie exited the vehicle. In a devastating turn of events, the driver reportedly reversed the vehicle in an attempt to flee and struck her.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene, but despite life-saving efforts, Stephanie and her unborn baby were pronounced dead.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident, and no further details about charges or the identity of the driver have been released at this time.
