According to the Elsmere Police Department, officers responded to a shooting in the 3700 block of Autumn Road at approximately 8:45 p.m. When they arrived, they found Tristen suffering from gunshot wounds to her chest and arm. Despite efforts to save her, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have since arrested a 15-year-old boy in connection with the shooting. He has been charged with murder (domestic violence-related) and tampering with physical evidence. Due to his age, the suspect’s identity has not been released, and he is currently being charged in juvenile court. Prosecutors will later determine whether the case will be moved to adult court.
