In Loving Memory of Kardenai Anthony Hollis, 16 — A Life Gone Too Soon

Kardenai was the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred in the early morning hours of Saturday, around 3 a.m., in the 1800 block of River Run Trail, within the Woodbridge Apartments complex on the city’s north side.

Emergency responders rushed Kardenai to a nearby hospital, where medical teams worked tirelessly to save him. Tragically, despite their best efforts, Kardenai succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. According to the Allen County Coroner’s Office, Kardenai’s cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds, and his death has been officially ruled a homicide.
