In Memoriam: Sgt. Joshua Dickey

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sergeant Joshua Dickey, a dedicated and respected member of the Arizona Department of Corrections (ADC) family.

Sgt. Dickey began his service with the ADC in 2007 as a Correctional Officer I within the Construction Division. His strong work ethic, commitment to public service, and leadership qualities quickly became apparent. In 2008, he was promoted to Corporal, and by 2014, he had earned the rank of Sergeant, a position in which he continued to serve with pride and distinction.

Over the years, Sgt. Dickey made a lasting impact on his colleagues and the facilities in which he served. He was known for his professionalism, reliability, and steadfast dedication to his duties. More importantly, he was respected as a mentor and a friend to many, offering support, wisdom, and a steady presence in challenging times.

The ADC community mourns the loss of Sgt. Dickey, and we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and coworkers during this profoundly difficult time. His service will not be forgotten, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the honor of working alongside him.

May Sgt. Joshua Dickey rest in peace, and may his legacy of service and commitment continue to inspire us all.
