Frances Sullivan Obituary, Death – Authorities have arrested a Rhode Island woman in connection with a tragic crash in Milford that claimed the life of a passenger in another vehicle.
Nina Reed, 43, of Providence, R.I., turned herself in to the Milford Police Department on July 7 and is now facing charges of negligent homicide with a motor vehicle and failure to obey a stop sign.
The incident occurred on the evening of May 10, when Reed was reportedly driving a Jeep Compass northbound on Milford Parkway. According to police, the vehicle veered off the road to the right, crossed over a grassy area, and entered Boston Post Road, where it collided with a Toyota Corolla. A Chevrolet Volt subsequently struck the right side of the Toyota.
Both the driver and passenger of the Toyota were rushed to a local hospital. Tragically, the passenger, Frances Sullivan, 59, later died from her injuries on the following day, as confirmed by Milford police.
Reed has been released on $70,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on August 5.
