Jawon Deshawn Cooper Obituary, Death – Authorities are investigating the tragic death of 27-year-old Jawon Deshawn Cooper, who was fatally shot late Thursday night in north St. Louis.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 6000 blocks of Emma and Lucille Avenues shortly before 10 p.m. following a report of gunfire. Shortly afterward, police received notice that a gunshot victim had been dropped off at a local hospital.
The victim, later identified as Jawon Deshawn Cooper, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Officers subsequently located the likely scene of the shooting in the 5400 block of Park Lane.
The Homicide Division is actively investigating the case. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact detectives directly at 314-444-5371.
Jawon’s untimely passing has left his loved ones and community grieving, as they await answers and justice in this heartbreaking loss.
