The deceased have been named as 45-year-old Clint Carty, a taxi driver from Old Folly District in Discovery Bay, and a woman identified as Georgia Johnson. Police have yet to release the identity of the third victim, another female passenger.

According to initial reports, the crash involved a Mitsubishi Outlander and a white Honda Step Wagon, the latter serving as a taxi operating between Discovery Bay and Falmouth. The driver of the Mitsubishi reportedly lost control, resulting in a violent crash with the Step Wagon.
