James City, VA – Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Thursday at the Mt. Gilead Church, located at 8660 Pocahontas Trail.
Officers responded to the scene following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, one individual was found with life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The identity of the victim has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
