The McDonough and greater Henry County communities are mourning the tragic and untimely loss of Keith Bailey, a beloved husband, father, veteran, and fitness coach whose life was defined by strength, compassion, and service. Keith passed away on June 8, 2025, at the age of 42, leaving behind a heartbroken family and a legacy that continues to inspire.
A native of Atlanta and graduate of Union Grove High School, Keith dedicated his early years to service, proudly enlisting in the U.S. Air Force, where he served with honor and distinction across multiple bases nationwide. His discipline, leadership, and work ethic were hallmarks of his military career and remained central to everything he did.
After completing his service, Keith returned to McDonough and channeled his passion for fitness and personal growth into founding TWB Fitness (Together We Build) — a coaching business rooted in the idea that strength isn’t built alone, but through community, consistency, and care. As a personal trainer, mentor, and motivator, he helped transform lives physically, mentally, and emotionally. Friends and clients often called him a “goal crusher,” “builder of people,” and a “true force of positivity.”
Keith’s passing, though the circumstances remain private at the family’s request, has sparked an outpouring of support from all corners. A GoFundMe campaign organized by family friend Rose Pollard is helping support his wife, Rachel, their 4-year-old daughter Ensley, and their unborn child. As Keith was the family’s sole provider, the fundraiser aims to relieve financial stress and honor his legacy of love and resilience. The campaign, titled “Keith’s Legacy: Father, Husband, Fighter, & Friend,” has rallied hundreds who were touched by his spirit and selflessness.
Above all, Keith was a devoted family man. He found immense joy in fatherhood — from playing with Ensley at the park to reading bedtime stories and planning adventures. He and Rachel shared a deep, steady partnership rooted in faith, laughter, and shared dreams. He eagerly looked forward to the arrival of their second child, already planning how he’d raise another strong, kind soul.
Keith also gave generously of his time, volunteering at local youth sports leagues, coaching at gyms, and organizing community hikes and fitness events. He was often spotted cheering on the Atlanta Falcons, hiking Georgia’s scenic trails, or guiding a friend through a new fitness goal — always with a word of encouragement and a beaming smile.
Keith is survived by his loving wife, Rachel, their daughter Ensley, their expected child, and extended family members who will carry forward his love and memory.
A memorial service to celebrate Keith’s life will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 3 p.m. at Cannon United Methodist Church in McDonough, with arrangements by Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors. In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to the GoFundMe campaign (link) or a local fitness scholarship being established in Keith’s name — a reflection of his enduring passion for building strong bodies, strong minds, and stronger communities.
A community fitness event is also being planned to honor Keith’s legacy — a celebration of togetherness, wellness, and the incredible life of a man who believed we are all stronger together.
Rest in strength, Keith. Your light remains.
