Second Shooting in Less Than a Month at Old Fourth Ward Skate Park Along the Beltline

Atlanta, GA — A popular skate park located off Willoughby Way in the Old Fourth Ward is once again at the center of a police investigation following the second shooting incident in less than a month.

Atlanta Police say a man was shot at the park tonight, though details remain limited. The victim is expected to survive, but the identity and motive of the shooter have not been released. APD officers remain on scene as the investigation unfolds.

This marks the second act of gun violence at the same location in recent weeks. On June 28, another individual was shot in the foot at the skate park around 2 p.m., reportedly following an argument. In that case, as well, police provided no further information about the suspect.

The string of violence has raised growing concerns among residents and Beltline users who frequent the area for recreation and family outings. The Old Fourth Ward skate park, once a symbol of community and urban revitalization, is now facing heightened scrutiny as law enforcement works to identify those responsible and ensure public safety.

Authorities are urging anyone with information related to either incident to contact the Atlanta Police Department as they continue to investigate both shootings.
