Palmdale Shooting Victim Identified as Jorge Iniguez Vallejo Jr., 33

PALMDALE, Calif. — Authorities have identified the man who was fatally shot early Sunday morning in Palmdale as 33-year-old Jorge Iniguez Vallejo Jr., according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.

The incident occurred around 1:20 a.m. on July 21 in the 4600 block of East Avenue S, near the Domino’s Pizza in the Palmdale Market Place shopping center. Responding deputies and emergency personnel arrived swiftly and transported Vallejo to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Witnesses reported that the shooting followed an altercation in the parking lot near the Domino’s. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is actively investigating the case, and no arrests have been made as of yet.

This shooting marks the third homicide in the Antelope Valley within just six days. The first occurred July 15 near Sierra Highway in Palmdale, and the second took place in Lancaster on July 18. Investigators are working to determine whether the incidents may be linked or if they reflect a broader trend in rising violent crime in the region.
