FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A local family is mourning the devastating loss of Angel Rodriguez, who was fatally struck by a vehicle while walking near his home on Robeson Street late Wednesday night. The crash occurred around 11:00 p.m. on July 23, 2025, near the intersection of Robeson Street and Whitfield Street.
Emergency crews arrived to find Rodriguez deceased at the scene. The 41-year-old father of five was a beloved member of the community, known for his devotion to his family and quiet strength. He leaves behind a grieving wife and children who are now trying to cope with a sudden and heartbreaking tragedy.
According to the Fayetteville Police Department, the driver fled the scene following the crash. Investigators later identified and arrested Angela Cheveena Harrington, 37, of Fayetteville, who now faces a list of serious charges, including:
