With deepest sorrow, we honor the life and legacy of Chief Randy Frontz, who passed away after 45 remarkable years of service to the Bay City Volunteer Fire Department. Chief Frontz joined the department on June 18, 1980, and began leading as Fire Chief on December 21, 1994. For three decades, he stood at the helm — a pillar of strength, wisdom, and unwavering dedication.
Chief Frontz wasn’t just a firefighter. He was a mentor, a leader, a friend, and a guardian to the community he so fiercely loved and protected. His calm presence in moments of crisis, his compassion toward others, and his tireless commitment to duty earned him the respect and admiration of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
To his fellow firefighters, Chief was a guiding light. To his community, he was a symbol of selfless service. To all of us, he was a hero.
As we say goodbye, we carry his legacy forward with pride and gratitude. His impact will never fade, and his memory will live on in every life he touched.
Rest easy, Chief. Your watch is over, but your spirit remains with us always.
You will never be forgotten. We’ve got it from here.
