Connor L. Nolan – Tragic Motorcycle Accident Claims Life of 20-Year-Old

A devastating crash on Thursday night at the intersection of Route 37 and Commonwealth Boulevard has claimed the life of Connor L. Nolan, a 20-year-old motorcyclist from Manchester Township, and left a bicyclist injured, according to local authorities.

The Manchester Township Police Department reported that officers responded to the scene around 8:30 p.m., where they found a black 2024 Kawasaki Ninja 500 motorcycle lying on its side in the westbound lanes, along with a gray bicycle in the intersection.

Connor Nolan was tragically pronounced dead at the scene as a result of injuries sustained in the collision. Police noted he was wearing a DOT-approved helmet at the time of the accident.

The bicyclist, Kimberly Reinschmidt, 49, also of Manchester Township, suffered suspected internal injuries and lacerations to her left hand and arm. She was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where she is currently listed in stable condition.

Preliminary findings indicate that Nolan was traveling west on Route 37 when Reinschmidt entered the crosswalk from Commonwealth Boulevard. The motorcycle struck the front of the bicycle, causing Nolan to lose control and crash into a concrete center median, resulting in his ejection from the vehicle.

Police say that disregard for a traffic signal and excessive speed may have contributed to the crash. The investigation remains ongoing and is being led by Patrolman Conner Yatauro and Patrolman Anthony DeBalsio of the department’s Traffic Safety Unit.

The roadway remained closed for several hours Thursday night as emergency crews responded and investigators examined the scene.
