Emergency Crews Respond to Reported Drowning at Walter P. Carter Elementary School

BALTIMORE, MD — Emergency responders rushed to Walter P. Carter Elementary School on Saturday, July 26, 2025, after reports of a possible drowning incident involving an individual found unresponsive and in cardiac arrest.

The school, located at 820 East 43rd Street, became the center of a rapid emergency response after a medical helicopter crew in the vicinity overheard the radio call and was first to report the incident. Upon recognizing the severity of the medical emergency, the crew quickly landed nearby and began administering CPR in a critical effort to revive the victim.

Baltimore Fire and EMS units responded moments later and joined in life-saving efforts. According to early information from emergency radio traffic, the individual was found without a pulse and in critical condition, prompting aggressive resuscitation measures at the scene.
