Nicholas Dubay, 39, Found Deceased Outside Schaumburg Arts Center; Investigation Underway

SCHAUMBURG, IL — Authorities are investigating the death of Nicholas Dubay, a 39-year-old man from Glendale Heights, whose body was discovered Saturday evening in a parked vehicle at the Al Larson Prairie Center for the Arts in Schaumburg.

According to Schaumburg police, officers responded to the scene shortly before a scheduled 7 p.m. performance of the Schaumburg Summer Theatre’s “The Drowsy Chaperone.” A heavy police presence was noted around the arts center parking lot following the discovery.

Dubay was pronounced dead at 6:30 p.m. at the Prairie Center by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, which later confirmed his identity. A preliminary investigation by police suggests that Dubay may have suffered a medical emergency, as no signs of external trauma were found. Authorities have stated there is no threat to the public in connection to the incident.

The exact cause of death is pending the results of an autopsy by the medical examiner’s office.
