In Memoriam: Zachary Keck and Wallace Tsoi Killed in Fatal Crash in Elkton, Maryland

Elkton, MD — The Cecil County community is mourning the tragic loss of Zachary Keck, 42, of Princeton, New Jersey, and Wallace Tsoi, 41, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who were both killed in a devastating single-vehicle crash late Saturday night.

According to the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to reports of a serious accident around 11:00 p.m. on July 26 in the 200 block of Fairview Road. Upon arrival, emergency crews found a heavily damaged 2024 Jeep Wrangler that had veered off the road, rolled multiple times, and landed in a nearby field.

Both the driver, identified as Zachary Keck, and the passenger, Wallace Tsoi, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Initial findings suggest that excessive speed may have contributed to the crash, as the vehicle appeared to have failed to navigate a curve in the roadway. The Traffic Unit of the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office is leading the ongoing investigation.
