ASP Releases Composite Sketch of Person of Interest in Devil’s Den Double Homicide

WEST FORK, Ark.— The Arkansas State Police (ASP) has released a composite sketch of a man sought for questioning in connection with a double homicide that occurred at Devil’s Den State Park on Saturday, July 26, 2025.

The victims, Clinton David Brink, 43, and Cristen Amanda Brink, 41, had recently moved to Prairie Grove and were enjoying a family hike when they were violently attacked and killed. The couple was accompanied by their two young daughters, ages 7 and 9, who were not injured in the attack and are now safe with family members.

According to investigators, the suspect may have sustained injuries during the attack. Authorities are now urging the public to help identify the man shown in the composite sketch, who was seen in the park that day and is considered a person of interest in the case.

The suspect is described as:

  • An unknown white male with a medium build
  • Wearing a long-sleeved shirt with sleeves rolled up
  • Dressed in dark pants, a dark baseball cap, and sunglasses
  • Carrying a black backpack and wearing fingerless gloves

He was last seen driving a black, four-door sedan, believed to be a Mazda, with its license plate covered by electrical or duct tape. The vehicle may have been traveling on State Highway 170 or State Highway 220 near the park exit.

The victims’ family released a statement today, saying:

“The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult time as they grieve and learn how to navigate this new reality. They ask that if anyone has any information at all that will help the investigation, to please contact the proper authorities immediately. Clinton and Cristen died heroes, protecting their little girls, and they deserve justice. They will forever live on in all of our hearts.”

ASP’s Criminal Investigation Division (CID) is leading the homicide investigation and is working closely with local, state, and federal agencies. Investigators are asking park visitors from July 26 to check cellphone photos, videos, or GoPro footage for any possible images of the suspect.

Residents near the park are also encouraged to review security or game camera footage that may have captured activity related to the suspect or his vehicle.

Anyone with information is urged to contact ASP Troop L at (479) 751-6663, Extension 2, or call 911. Investigators are actively reviewing all tips and voicemails will be returned as quickly as possible.
