Justin Puckly Identified as Victim in Fatal Hit-and-Run on Route 19 in Waterford Township

WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Pennsylvania State Police are actively investigating a fatal hit-and-run that claimed the life of 33-year-old Justin Puckly, a resident of Waterford. The tragic incident occurred in the early morning hours of Friday, July 19, on Route 19, just south of the borough of Waterford.

According to state police, Puckly was walking south along the 12900 block of Route 19 when he was struck by a vehicle that left the scene without stopping. The incident was reported to authorities at approximately 1:21 a.m. Puckly was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:07 a.m. by Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook, who confirmed the cause of death as multiple blunt-force trauma.

Investigators are working to identify the vehicle involved and are currently reviewing surveillance footage from the area. Troopers are specifically looking for anyone who may have seen a vehicle traveling through the roundabout just north of the crash site between 12:55 a.m. and 1:10 a.m. on the morning of the incident.

As the investigation continues, Justin Puckly’s death has left the Waterford community in mourning and seeking justice for a life lost far too soon.
