Authorities in New Braunfels, Texas are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 37-year-old Kennedy Miguel Herrejon, who was found deceased following a house fire on Monday afternoon, July 28, 2025.
According to officials, the New Braunfels Fire Department received a report of a structure fire around 2:30 p.m. in the 2600 block of McCrae, near West Klein Road. When crews arrived, they encountered a two-story home fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters worked quickly to contain the fire, which had begun to spread into the subfloor between the first and second stories.
Once the fire was under control, firefighters reentered the residence and discovered a man inside. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man was later identified as Kennedy Miguel Herrejon. Investigators revealed that, in addition to injuries sustained in the fire, Herrejon also suffered an apparent gunshot wound. The exact cause of death has not yet been determined, and officials have not confirmed whether foul play is suspected.
At this time, no other injuries have been reported in connection with the incident. Police and fire personnel remain at the scene as the investigation remains ongoing.
