BECKER, Minn. – A tragic accident has claimed the life of 10-year-old Harrison Kaehler, who was struck and killed by a vehicle while riding his bicycle on Monday morning. Officials with the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office released his name on Wednesday as the community mourns the heartbreaking loss.
The incident occurred around 8:00 a.m. at the intersection of Brenda Boulevard and Edgewood Street in Becker. According to authorities, Harrison was riding his bike when he was hit by a vehicle. Emergency personnel responded quickly, but despite their efforts, the young boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle, a 22-year-old woman from Becker, remained at the site of the collision and is fully cooperating with law enforcement as the investigation continues. Officials have not announced any charges at this time, and the cause of the crash is still under review.
“This is a deeply tragic situation,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement. “Our hearts are with Harrison’s family and the entire Becker community during this unimaginable time.”
The fatal accident has left the town grieving, and many have taken to social media and community boards to share condolences and support for the Kaehler family.
