One Dead, Six Injured in Cobleskill Two-Vehicle Crash

COBLESKILL, N.Y. – State Police are investigating a tragic two-vehicle crash that left one person dead and six others injured in Cobleskill on Tuesday afternoon.

The collision occurred around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of State Route 145 and Schoharie Hill Road, according to authorities.

Police confirmed that one passenger in one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not yet been released, pending family notification.

Both drivers and four additional passengers were transported to area hospitals for treatment of injuries. Officials said their injuries are not life-threatening, and they are expected to survive.

The crash forced a temporary closure of the roadway as first responders worked the scene and investigators began gathering evidence. State Route 145 has since been reopened to traffic.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing. Authorities have not released further details at this time.
