Bryant Police are actively investigating a homicide that occurred early this week near First Southern Baptist Church, located on S. Reynolds Road. Officers responded to a call at approximately 2:15 a.m. that was initially reported as a stolen vehicle. However, upon arriving at the scene, authorities discovered 23-year-old Skyy Brown in the driver’s seat of a vehicle, suffering from gunshot wounds to the abdomen.
Despite immediate efforts to save her, Brown was transported to a local hospital, where she tragically succumbed to her injuries.
The suspect, 24-year-old Hernandez Williams, was taken into custody shortly after the incident. Williams has since been charged with First Degree Murder and Aggravated Assault.
This investigation remains ongoing as Bryant Police work to piece together the details surrounding this tragic event. Authorities are urging anyone with additional information to come forward and assist in the investigation.
