SAN DIEGO, CA — Authorities have confirmed the identities of two individuals who died in a domestic violence-related shooting in San Diego over the weekend. The victims have been identified as Michelle Booker-Stewart, 51, and her husband, Nathaniel Stewart, 57.
The incident occurred around 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, when San Diego Police officers responded to reports of a domestic violence-related shooting at a residence on Timothy Drive in the Oak Park neighborhood.
Upon entering the home, officers found Michelle suffering from a gunshot wound to her upper torso. In another room, they discovered Nathaniel deceased from an apparent gunshot wound to the head. Despite efforts by both police and paramedics from San Diego Fire and Rescue, Michelle was pronounced dead at the scene.
Based on initial findings, investigators believe the case was a murder-suicide, with no indication of further threat to the surrounding community. The motive remains under investigation.
