22-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in Kosciusko County Crash

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. — A tragic collision in Tippecanoe Township has claimed the life of a 22-year-old man from Syracuse, Indiana.

According to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened just after 4:30 p.m. on Friday in the 5500 block of County Road 650 North. Authorities say a Buick was attempting to turn into a private driveway when it collided with a Kawasaki motorcycle traveling in the opposite direction.

The motorcyclist, identified as Brenden Dilley, 22, was ejected upon impact and pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency responders arrived quickly, but Dilley had sustained fatal injuries and could not be revived.

The driver of the Buick, a 75-year-old woman also from Syracuse, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of an abrasion and complaints of pain. Her condition has not been publicly released but is not believed to be life-threatening.

The incident remains under investigation as officials work to determine the exact cause of the crash. No citations or charges have been announced at this time.
