DARKE COUNTY, Ohio — An 18-year-old man was airlifted to the hospital early Saturday morning after being ejected from a vehicle during a serious crash in Darke County.
According to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched at approximately 1:38 a.m. to the 2100 block of Hollansburg-Richmond Road following reports of a single-vehicle rollover crash.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Nathan Wiedmaier, 18, of Greenville, was driving a red Honda Fit northbound on Hollansburg-Richmond Road when he lost control of the vehicle. The car veered off the left side of the roadway and rolled multiple times.
Wiedmaier was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and sustained serious injuries. He was flown by medical helicopter to a nearby hospital for treatment. His current condition has not been released.
The crash remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
